Christmas Outreach-Please help!!!

HELP US HELP Alternatives for Battered Women

This Christmas season we are turning our attention to those in need. This year we would like to invite you to help us in supplying items for the Alternatives for Battered Women shelter.
As an office we have had so much fun adopting a family. We adopted a family of four and had so much fun filling their wish list. Spiderman was top of the list in requests from the little boys! There were also baby dolls, skateboards, bedding and clothing.  Here is a photo of our office before delivery last night.

The drop off location was manned by the Robotics team at East Ridge Highschool  doing some volunteer community service. What a great group of energetic kids!

What can you do to help? The shelter is also in need of many other donated items.

They have a "shop" that the residents and their children can go to to choose Christmas gifts for each other and there are specific items that they have told us would be useful. If you could supply an item or contribute monetarily in any way so that we may purchase items we would be so appreciative.

Here is a list of items they have requested:
New Women's bathrobes, pajamas and slippers
Bath sets (lotions, soaps, shampoos, etc)
Firetrucks
Trains
African American Baby dolls
Barbies

We will be collecting supplies through December 17th.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Healthy and SOFT desserts for fall!

Frozen Banana Ice Cream made with just bananas! No added sugar, no dairy, no fat. No rock salt or ice cream maker required.

Do you love ice cream? who doesn't? and it's great with braces. But still a lot of sugar right?
Here is a yummy alternative. Banana ice cream made with frozen bananas. And I don't really even like bananas. But this is awesome!
There are those machines you can get for making frozen desserts out of bananas called a Yonannas machine. They are great, but in this recipe they just used a regular food processor and it looks great. I love the idea of adding the peanut butter. I think a touch of chocolate sauce would be awesome too. I'm thinking of trying a little canned pumpkin in it for a Thanksgiving treat.

Find the recipe here: Frozen Banana Ice Cream

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Keep smiling!
